about elena
It can feel so overwhelming to ask for help, but it's also an incredibly brave and transformative place to be as well. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples along their journeys to relieve stress and anxiety, treat depression, or address trauma or relational difficulties with compassion, empathy, honesty, and safety.
As a Mexican-American who has a background in non-profit youth work, I have a lot of passion for working with multicultural issues, individuals with complex or traumatic relationships with their parents/families, spirituality/religious issues, women's issues, and perfectionism.

Because there are so many reasons to seek therapy, I hold an eclectic approach to counseling. My professional values include trust, honesty, authenticity, autonomy, and empathy. I appreciate working from a family systems, somatic, and attachment-focused lens, but also draw greatly from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the psychodynamic perspective.
